This weekend, the Pandas hockey team earned another four points, sweeping Saskatchewan at Clare Drake, 4-1 and 2-0. One player in particular stood in the spotlight following the series, and that is Sarah Hilworth, whose successes on the ice are captured by Paul Cartledge in his review of the Saturday October 20 game:
The senior forward, playing in her 100th conference game, scored the game-winner, her 50th conference goal, and her 100th conference point all in one perfect shot in the second period.
Pas mal. The Pandas have seen plenty of worth out of their captain, for a point per game is a difficult feat to accomplish. Hilworth is in her fifth and final year of eligibility, and hails from Vancouver, B.C. In similar fashion to many other Bears and Pandas athletes, she studies in the Faculty of Phys. Ed. and Recreation. If the start of the season is any indication, the Pandas seem headed for CIS Nationals once again this year.
