Alex Manolii is one undergraduate who certainly understands how a diverse skillset can take you places. From performing award-winning research in the Faculty of Science, to competing internationally as a Business student, Alex has grown and shaped his undergraduate career into an impressive track record of skills and success.
Originally from Moldova, the 22-year-old is a strong competitor, a keen learner, and most of all a great friend. Undoubtedly, Alex has made an impact on his fellow BCom’s and undergrads, whether through his positive and outright pleasant disposition, his comedic wit, or his incessant willingness to lend a helping hand for his friends, classmates, and community.
An Editor for the Business student magazine, a Student Ambassador, and a great storyteller, Alex’s time here at the University of Alberta will leave a lasting impression. His success as a top-performing student; his achievements in competitions hosted by Universities of Dalhousie, McMaster, Queen’s, Royal Roads, Arizona and even Navarra, Spain in disciplines ranging from Marketing, Ethics and Business Strategy; and the admirable determination and passion he brings to the projects he undertakes and to the people who count on him, are all evidence of how Alex has provided excellent representation for the University of Alberta and of just how bright of a future this undergrad has to explore.
