University classes are out for the summer, but junior high and high school are still in session. And for Edmonton’s teenagers, events are taking place on May 18 and 19 that they simply should not miss. Over the course of these two days, award-winning Edmontonian Omar Mouallem is hosting a public workshop and competition called Edmonton Story Slam, in collaboration with Edmonton Public Libraries. In 2013, the competition opens to Edmonton’s teenagers, with all encouraged to attend. Whether students are from Eastglen or Scona, Archbishop MacDonald or Bev Facey, the competition is fair game.
