Craddock Watch: Annihilates College Teams, Loses to Carleton | The Wanderer Sports

Earlier this year, the Bears basketball team’s head coach, Barnaby Craddock guaranteed a national championship for his team. Thus, we have created Craddock Watch, which monitors the team’s progress toward that goal in 2012-2013.

The Bears basketball team is one of the best in Canada, ranked in the top 10 nationally and coming off a silver in the 2012 CIS championships. To open the season, the Golden Bears beat SAIT by 58 (!), NAIT by 24 and then dropped 123 on Red Deer College, beating them by 52. Ouch. OUCH! However, in the next game, the Bears went from playing a bunch of cupcake teams to the best in Canada, Carleton. The result was 78-65 for Carleton, a pretty close margin that shows that these two teams are neck-and-neck. Though the loss is a bit of a step back from the 50+ point victories in the season’s first three games, it doesn’t spell an end to Craddock Watch. Instead, the Bears’ head coach knows that the team will be in the thick of things later on in the year.
