On January 24, the New York-based Long Island Pulse Magazine featured Edmonton as one of the up-and-coming cities in Canada, not to mention in North America. In the article that you can find here, Long Island contributor, book author and freelance writer Bruce Northam speaks to the variety of Edmonton attractions, from the River Valley to the Blue Plate Diner, Hotel Mac and Old Stratchona. Interestingly – and thankfully – West Edmonton Mall is really only mentioned in passing, and the focus is mostly on the Fantasyland Hotel. Indeed, it seems that Edmonton’s cultural richness is beginning to shine through, not only locally, but on an international level.
