Last year, Rebecca Black blessed us with her legendary clip Friday and became an internet sensation. Fridays are awesome and you can always look forward to the weekend, weekend, every week, but you know what? Thanksgiving comes only once a year.
Nicole Westbrook, Patrice Wilson’s other client (although victim might be much more accurate description), released her debut video It’s Thanksgiving on November 7, 2012 (I was a tad slow in getting on the bandwagon here). It’s going viral, with 9.5 million views at the moment.
This gem is basically Friday 2.0. It talks about a greater joy than Fridays – Thanksgiving. Waking up at 7 am and getting cereal? Bitch please, Nicole is out of school and she preps mashed potatoes and TURKEY. Also, while Rebecca can only look at things short term, that is, a week, Nicole looks forward to the entire YEAR:
December was Christmas. (Christmas)
January was New Year (New Year).
April was Easter.
And the 4th of July, but now it’s Thanksgiving.
Also, I’d be lying if I say I wasn’t creeped out by Patrice’s turkey costume and lack of any adult presence besides his. Seriously, kids younger than Biebs shouldn’t be cooking turkey on their own, and what happened to all the grown-ups?
Let’s see if this can challenge the legendary status of Friday. Also, it’s Thanksgiving in the States. Happy American Thanksgiving everyone!
