As the President of Halford Consulting, Jane enhances strategic results for executives and business owners through creative collaboration and a strong commitment to measurable results. Her firm is currently working with TEC Edmonton’s Executive-in-Residence program and providing executive expertise to the Light the Bridge campaign. Halford Consulting began in 2013 after Jane decided to change her career path and leverage her corporate, not-for-profit and public sector experience. Her professional services draw from her education as a chartered accountant and her commerce degree from the University of Alberta, and past roles as the CEO of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, the Executive Director of the Chartered Accountants Education Foundation, a senior manager at Grant Thornton LLP, and experience as a board member and board chair of a diverse range of organizations.
Jane currently holds volunteer roles with the University of Alberta, as a member of the Board of Governors and as the past-president of the Alumni Association, Alberta Economic Development Authority, Citadel Theatre, International Women’s Forum, and the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region. She is also dedicated to encouraging young business leaders through trusted mentoring relationships. Jane is a third generation Edmontonian and is very passionate about the future success of the city and province. She looks forward to adding value to a range of forward-looking strategic initiatives through her professional and volunteer roles.
