Janine Sebastian: Founder and Owner, FaBLOOMosity

Janine fell in love with the floral industry in 2001 and has never looked back. After managing a well-known floral shop in Edmonton for several years, Janine decided to branch out on her own, opening her own floral studio named FaBLOOMosity. Janine chose the downtown core of Edmonton to open her first store in the Historical Mercer building on 104st.

Known for her creative flair and passion for all things glamorous and detailed, Janine pushes the boundaries of floral design on a daily basis. With a strong emphasis on wedding and events, Janine has steadily grown her business to be the place to go when wanting unique luxe designs for a special day or event. With a heavy focus on everything custom, Janine takes all details into consideration whether you are having a wedding, a corporate event or sending an arrangement to someone special.

Her designs have been published in numerous magazines and websites, such as Wedluxe Magazine, Grace Ormonde, A Perfect Wedding Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Style Me Pretty Canada, Wedding Chicks, Wedding Bells Magazine, and most recently the cover of Blush Magazine, as well as numerous other blogs websites and magazines.

As an ISES Edmonton board member, Janine’s love for the event industry is no secret and she continues to focus on building a strong event industry standard in our city. FaBLOOMosity is now in its second year of business and flourishing with well over one hundred weddings completed in 2013 year and many high profile corporate events. Her passion for floral design really shines through her numerous photoshoots and editorial work where she can ʻdo her thingʼ and break all the proverbial rules.

I am a little disappointed there is no mention of her charitable work. For being such a high class business Janine makes sure everyone has some beauty in their lives. From children fighting cancer to the local homeless Janine opens her heart and doors and always remembers those who might need a little cheer in their day. I remember a story Janine told me about why she started a recent give away trend (one for you, one for a friend, and one for a stranger) where she is giving away 3 $100 arrangements. She told me she thought of the idea when going into her local 7/11 and seeing the same women every night and thinking how they could use some flowers. This woman is making big changes in the world and in the lives of everyone she meets!
