Jennifer Flynn is the Executive Director of the Legal Education Society of Alberta (LESA). Based out of Edmonton, LESA has a proud and illustrious history in our local legal community. The organization was established to meet the educational and professional development needs of Alberta lawyers, articling students, and their staff. Over the past several years, the organization has achieved international recognition through awards in programming, marketing, and technology. In addition to providing a range of continuing legal education programs and resources, LESA also delivers Alberta’s mandatory bar admission course – known as the CPLED Program – which helps law students bridge the gap from law school to the practice of law.
Born and raised in Edmonton, Jennifer first connected with the Edmonton business community as a student at the University of Alberta’s School of Business. She deepened her Edmonton business connections as a corporate/commercial lawyer at a large Edmonton law firm and, later, as an award-winning business law instructor at the JR Shaw School of Business at NAIT. In addition to her degrees in commerce and law, Jennifer also earned a Master of Arts in Communications and Technology here in Edmonton. She is proud to be the Director of the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED) in Alberta and a member of the Executive Committee for the international Association for Continuing Legal Education. When Jennifer is not focusing on blending business principles, education, law, and technology, she is at home with her husband and two young sons.
