Maryna Vysotski is in her fourth year of Business, majoring in Human Resources and Business Law & Economics. In her short time at the U of A, Maryna has made fantastic contributions to campus, bringing her obvious energy to whatever it is that she does. She has always been involved in student life on campus in her roles as Vice President Internal on the Business Students’ Association, academic director for the first ever Network Of Empowered Women Conference as well as the Local Chair for Five Days for the Homeless, which is a campaign that raises funds and awareness for homeless youth of Edmonton.
In her spare time, Maryna enjoys reading, spending time with her family, friends, and especially her feline friend Phil. Furthermore, in her lifetime Maryna hopes to travel the world, and make an impact on marginalized women that can shape their community, and inspire others to do the same. She feels extremely privileged to live in Canada and all the opportunities that it has to offer, after her move from her Ukraine when she was just ten years-old. Overall, Maryna tries to live by the words of Gandhi when he said “everything you do in life is insignificant, but it is very important that you still do it.”
