Federal Liberal leadership candidate Justin Trudeau will be in Alberta tomorrow, attending rallies in both Edmonton and Calgary.
Trudeau is expected to make an appearance in the hotly-contested riding of Calgary-Centre with Liberal candidate Harvey Locke ahead of the November 26 by-election. The usual safe Conservative riding has become a political battelground with Locke coming within a few points of Conservative candidate Joan Crockett in recent polls.
Trudeau will go on to make an appearance at Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre at 6:30pm. The event is free to attend.
Trudeau has long been considered the front-runner (and in fact, only runner) in the federal Liberal leadership race, with some polls projecting the son of Pierre’s ability to make the Liberal Party a major force in Canadian politics again. However, the recent entrance of Martha Hall Findlay into the race looks as if it will inject some excitement into what could have been a coronation of Mr. Trudeau.
