Thank a professor: two minutes incredibly well-spent | By The Wanderer Online

The second half of the 2012-2013 academic year has been stressful, to say the least. Not only is the winter break not sufficient for recovering following the hectic fall semester, but the Government of Alberta budget cuts created an uncertainty that is still present today. The many hundreds of professors on campus have had a particularly rough go, striving to find some semblance of equilibrium between teaching, research, service, the uncertainty around the cuts, family life and yes – personal time.

If you’re a student, take five minutes to contact your professors and thank them for the time they contribute to your learning. The five minutes that you dedicate to this can make someone’s day go from “meh” to “great.”

Once you’ve done the good deed, share this with your friends. Let’s see how many professors we can thank in one weekend.
