You’d be surprised to learn about the academic accomplishments of many U of A undergraduate students. In addition to attending class, writing exams and essays and meeting the required student deadlines, some undergraduate students do Masters or even PhD-level work. Don’t believe that? Last year’s Students’ Union Undergraduate Research Symposium is all the evidence you need to be persuaded. The event took place in mid-November and featured over 120 student projects from a wide range of disciplines, from research into primary education to human biomechanics and coyote observation in Edmonton’s river valleys.
The symposium is taking place once again this year, on November 15. But the deadline for applications is Friday October 12. With applications rolling in quickly, don’t miss your chance to participate in one of the university’s premier student events.
