Restaurants surrounding the University of Alberta boast some incredible cinnamon buns. You don’t need to look much further than the Sugarbowl or High Level Diner to figure this out. However, every September (on the 21st and 22nd in 2012), a special form of cinnamon bun returns from a year-long hiatus to raise students’ blood sugar levels in Quad. These sweets are the Tuck Shop cinnamon buns, and if you’re on a diet, you should close this window immediately. Actually, if you’re on a diet, read this instead.
The Tuck Shop returns to Quad every September as part of the Alumni Weekend, one of The Wanderer Online’s favourite times of the year. Not only do you see first-hand that U of A alumni do some pretty impressive stuff across the world, but you can think these encouraging thoughts while munching on sugary glory.
