UBC Hasn’t Lost in 2012; the Golden Bears are Defending Champions | The Wanderer Sports

Yesterday, the UBC T-Birds romped Saskatchewan by a score of 3-0. The U of A Golden Bears topped TWU 3-1 in a 120-minute game. Though both semi-finals winners have qualified for CIS Nationals, the Canada West title is on the line. At 1:15 pm today at Foote Field, the Bears and T-Birds face each other in a rematch of the 2011 Canada West final, where the former side won 1-0 on a late goal by Marcus Johnstone.

Could this game be a teaser to the CIS Nationals title game? Perhaps, but before any of that takes place, we gotta focus on today’s game. Thankfully, the temperature looks promising, so the fans in attendance won’t have to freeze in the wind.

This isn’t the Winter Classic anymore, but you can bet that the game will be entertaining.
