Back in the the winter 2012 semester, the U of A broke the Guinness dodgeball world record with a 5000-person game. Well, on September 25 2012, the University of California-Irvine reclaimed the record, hitting 6084. The school broke the record playing outside, surprisingly, which contrasts to the U of A games that are always in the Butterdome. With the record continuing to increase, who knows whether we’ll see 10 000+ students in several years.
Until then, it looks like there will be another dodgeball world record attempt this year… Breaking UC-Irivne’s record will be tough, but certainly not out of reach.
